India’s Captain Cool, who brought home the prestigious World Cup trophy after a long 28 years, joined 30s club today. With the World Cup triumph and IPL victory for the Chennai Super Kings, Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni had a remarkable year in 2011.

Since making his debut in December 2004, Dhoni has come a long way to become India’s most successful captain. He announced his arrival to the international stage as a destructive batsman and asserted himself smashing 148 runs against Pakistan in his fifth ODI. Soon, Dhoni was appointed India`s one-day and Twenty20 captain and his success as the captain of the Indian team has earned him the name ‘Captain Cool’.

He has achieved a lot in about seven years since making his debut. Under his captaincy, India won the 2007 ICC World Twenty20, CB Series of 2007–08, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2008 and 2010 against Australia 2–0 and 2011 Cricket World Cup.
At 30, the future still looks bright for MS Dhoni and we wish him more success in the years to come.

Dhoni greeted: Fans wished India team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni on his 30th birthday by cutting cakes and distributing sweets in his home town.A cricket fan from Saharanpur, Ravindra Soni cut a cake at Harmu, where Dhoni`s residence is located, and also distributed sweets on the occasion.

Meanwhile, birthday wishes poured in for Dhoni from all corners of the country.

Former Bihar team captain Adil Hussain, under whom Dhoni played during his formative years, said, "Dhoni, many happy returns of the day."

Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Mahto said he was confident Dhoni would continue with his exploits on the cricketing field.

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi said, "Dhoni is the toast of the nation. May he continue to shine and make his fans happy by remaining on top in all three formats of the game."
